Renew my card certificates
The electronic certificates contained in your identity or residence card have a maximum lifetime of 3 years, limited to the expiry date of your card.
If your card is valid for more than 3 years, you will need to renew your certificates at an interactive terminal to continue using your digital identity and MConnect services.
By completing your MConnect Profile now, you will be notified by email and/or SMS when your certificates expire, so you can renew them earlier.
Your electronic certificates enabling you to use your digital identity will expire on the day your card expires. To continue using your digital identity and MConnect services, you will need to renew your identity card or residence permit.
To apply for an identity card, please contact the Mairie's Service d'Etat Civil - Nationalité.
To renew your residence permit, please submit your application via the dedicated teleservice.
You can then choose to activate your digital identity again, and reinstall it on your mobile.
When you connect to the various online services via MConnect, you will be immediately recognised and will be able to find the history of your requests.
You must renew your certificates before they expire so that you can continue to use your digital identity and MConnect services without interruption.
To renew your certificates, please go to an interactive terminal with your identity card or residence permit and follow the instructions on the screen.
If you have revoked your certificates via the MConnect Profile, and have subsequently found your identity card or residence permit, please go to an interactive terminal with your card to renew your certificates.
If you are no longer in possession of your card, please request a renewal of your identity card or a duplicate of your residence permit.
