Renew my MConnect certificates
MConnect operates using your electronic certificates, which are valid for up to three years. These certificates enable you to verify your identity or provide electronic signatures.
The MConnect electronic certificates must be renewed every three years to guarantee the highest level of security.
Do I need to renew my certificates?
You do not need to renew your certificates.
Your certificates will be renewed automatically upon the issue of your new card.
Your new card will contain your new certificates, which will also be valid for up to three years.
Please note: if your card expires within these three years, your MConnect certificates will also expire at the same time.
Useful tips:
Remember to renew your identity card or residence permit on time. This will ensure that you can always verify your identity via MConnect.
- To apply for an identity card, please contact the Service d'Etat Civil - Nationalité de la Mairie (City Hall's Civil Registry - Nationality).
- To renew a residence permit please refer to the procedure on the MonServicePublic.gouv.mc website.
Do you already use MConnect or do you wish to do so?
To take advantage of MConnect services, such as MConnect authentication, you can activate or reactivate your digital identity upon receipt of your new card. You will need to choose a PIN code.
We recommend using the MConnect Mobile Application, where you can easily check the expiry date of certificates and verify your identity via your mobile phone.
If you are already using MConnect, you will find your personal information available on your various online services the next time you log on.
Your electronic certificates are generated upon issue of your card.
Certificates are valid for three years.
To check whether your certificates are still valid or need renewing, either:
- Check the date of issue on the back of your card. If your card was issued about three years ago, you should renew your certificates now.
- Check the expiry date of your certificates on the MConnect Mobile Application. If the expiry date is approaching, please renew your certificates now.
Please note: if your certificates have expired, you can no longer use the MConnect service. You will need to renew your certificates to restore access to MConnect.
