MConnect works using your personal electronic certificates, which are valid for up to three years. At the end of this period, renewal may be required to continue using this service
Where can I find the expiration date of my MConnect certificates?
Log in to your MConnect app to check the expiration date of your digital certificates:
Download the app for iPhone or Android.
You can also view your electronic certificates from an MConnect interactive terminal.
Do I need to renew my certificates?
This depends on your situation and the expiration date of your Monégasque identity card or residence permit.
You do not need to renew your certificates separately.
You simply need to renew your identity card before it expires by contacting the Service d'Etat Civil - Nationalité of the Town Hall.
Your new identity card will be compatible with MConnect, and you will be able to log in as usual.
Remember to activate your digital identity on your new card.
You need to renew your certificates in order to continue using MConnect.
How do I renew my certificates?
Due to changes in standards, an update of your card is required.
To do so, please proceed with a card exchange by making an appointment with the Service d'Etat Civil - Nationalité of the Town Hall. This process is simple and free of charge, and you will only need to attend the appointment with your current identity card.
Your new identity card will be compatible with MConnect, and you will be able to log in as usual.
Remember to activate your digital identity on your new card.
You do not need to renew your certificates separately.
You simply need to renew your residence permit before it expires via MonGuichet.mc. Please consult the relevant procedure on the MonServicePublic.gouv.mc website.
Your new residence permit will be compatible with MConnect, and you will be able to log in as usual.
Remember to activate your digital identity on your new card.
To continue authenticating yourself via MConnect, you need to renew your electronic certificates by requesting a card exchange from the Residents Section of the Public Safety Department.
This process is simple and free of charge. Your new card will retain the same information and expiry date as your current card.
Your new residence card will be compatible with MConnect and you will be able to log in as normal.
Remember to activate your digital identity on your new card.
The procedure to follow depends on whether you have access to the MConnect application with your digital identity installed.
If you still have access to your MConnect application with your digital identity installed:
- Log in to https://profil.mconnect.mc/renew using MConnect
- Submit your renewal request
- Click on “Install my digital identity on my mobile phone”
A link will be sent to you by SMS to complete the installation of your digital identity in your MConnect application.
If you have previously created your MConnect Profile:
- Go to https://profil.mconnect.mc/renew
- Select the option ‘Expired certificates or new phone.’
- Submit your renewal request and follow the guided instructions.
If you no longer have your MConnect app with your digital identity installed, and you have not previously created your MConnect Profile, we invite you to contact our user support.
