How do I use MConnect to verify my identity?
Use your card and your card reader to verify your identity from your computer
To verify your identity from your computer, you will need:
- Your Monegasque identity card or residence permit
- The PIN you chose when you activated your digital identity
- The card reader (which you were given when you collected your card) or a compatible reader
- A computer on which the Smart Card Manager software has been installed (installation takes just a few seconds). Smart Card Manager must be installed to enable your PC to read your card.
- Connect your card reader to a USB port and insert the card
- Access your desired online service and log in using MConnect to verify your identity
- If necessary, tick the box that says “I agree to share the following information: Birth name, first names, Preferred name, date of birth, Type, hour of birth, place of birth
- Enter your PIN (the one you chose when you activated your identity)

- Access your desired online service by clicking “Start” or “Log in using MConnect” (depending on the service).
- Once you’re on the MConnect portal, enter your mobile number.
- You will receive a notification on the MConnect Mobile app. Then enter the app pass code.
- You have now verified your identity and can access your desired online service.
