How do I use MConnect to verify my identity?
Authenticate yourself on MConnect partner online services by clicking on the ‘Sign in with MConnect’ button.
I authenticate using my smartphone
Prerequisite: you must have installed your digital identity in the MConnect mobile application on your smartphone.
- Access the desired online service and click on ‘Identify myself with MConnect’.
- Enter your mobile number
- You receive a notification on the MConnect Mobile application: accept authentication and validate (with Touch ID / Face ID or the application code)
You are logged in to the desired online service.
I log in using my identity card or residence permit and my card reader
Prerequisites :
- Your Monegasque identity card or residence permit
- the 5-digit PIN code you chose when you activated your digital identity
- the card reader given to you when you collect your card (or a compatible reader)
- A computer on which the Smart Card Manager card reader software has been installed (installation only takes a few seconds). It is necessary for your computer to be able to read your card.
Steps :
- Plug your card reader into a USB port and insert the card (chip side up)
- Access the desired online service and click on ‘Identify myself with MConnect’.
- Tick the box ‘I agree to share the following information: birth name, forenames, surname, date of birth, gender, time of birth, place of birth’.
- Enter your card's 5-digit PIN code (chosen during activation)
You will be authenticated on the desired online service.

Install your digital identity on your mobile
The MConnect Mobile app is made available by the Prince's Government of Monaco so that you can use your digital identity on your mobile phone. When you first use it, you will need to install your digital identity on this secure app.
You will then be able to access the information about you that is used by online services to identify you.
