In June 2021, Monaco rolled out its digital identity service.

Since then, a third of the population have received a new identity card, and 90% of those have activated the digital identity to enable them to access lots of online services.

The ambition behind this launch is to allow Monegasques and Residents to have, in one place, proof of identity and a universal, secure login to make it easier to complete all of their administrative procedures online.

The services that can be accessed include:

  • MonGuichet.mc , the portal that enables users to carry out and track administrative procedures from the Government and City Hall using a smartphone or PC
  • Obtaining civil registration documents directly from the website of Monaco City Hall
  • Easier login to the online spaces offered by SMEG (MyNexio) and Monaco Telecom (MyMt)
  • The Sworn Statement online service, which allows users to create statements online and sign them electronically
  • Finally, the electronic signature online service, allowing documents to be signed or co-signed electronically online (for example, the signature of a lease between individuals). Using Adobe Acrobat Reader, PDF documents can also be signed while offline
